Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)

particles-filter-blocks
The exhaust gases from diesel engines generate mocroscopic particulates very dangerous for humans.
They are very small size (PM10) and are likely to be deposited in the lungs and cause cancer.
Our DPF is a passive system designed to retain these particulates.
Soot particulate filters produced by SEV-Services are made from removable cassettes. They can be easily added according the requirements.
The cassette includes a ceramic honeycomb structure in silicon carbide (SiC).
During the flow of exhaust gases through the porous walls , more than 99 % particulates are filtered and deposited on the walls.
For regular cleaning, the filters are equipped with a catalytic coating made of Platinum, Palladium or Rhodium.
As soon as the temperature reaches 330°C, the collected soot is burned off: this is the regeneration process.
